Tom Brady's most recent #ThrowbackThursday post is an eye-opener. Why, exactly? Well, because he posted a photo of his résumé — from the 1990s — and it gives us a pretty good guess as to how his life could have panned out were it not for football. So what did Tom Brady (or should we say, Thomas E. Brady, Jr.) do before winning three Super Bowls and two Super Bowl MVPs? He was studying business at the University of Michigan and interning at Merrill Lynch, a financial management company.
In his post, Brady mentions that he really thought he was going to need this piece of ancient history when he was unsure of his future with the NFL. It just goes to show that even when equipped with exceptional talent, you can never truly anticipate the future. Obviously becoming a businessman was Brady's back-up plan, but it's nice to see that he was prepared for that route with a, by all accounts, standard résumé.
