Disney Changed Its Single-Day Ticket Prices, and It's Kind of a Big Deal

Apr 25 2016 - 5:00pm

In an attempt to mitigate their usual large crowds, the Disney parks in Anaheim, CA, and Orlando, FL, will be testing out new single-day ticket prices that fluctuate according to that time of year's anticipated demand.

According to the Associated Press [1], annual pass prices [2] will remain the same — i.e. pretty steep — while single-day tickets will change depending on whether it's considered a "value," "regular," or "peak" day. Here's the price breakdown:

By comparison, single-day tickets previously cost $105 at Walt Disney World and $99 at Disneyland. This change can, in part, be attributed to the major success of Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Disney's plan to develop extensive lands [3] inspired by the film, which will definitely attract droves of adults and little ones alike.

While seasonal pricing may affect those hoping to visit during the holidays and other peak times, it can help families aim for those value days and avoid all those crowds and long lines.
